AGSB was established in September 1991 as a non-profit, private institution a higher education. The founding members recognized the needs of the existing student population and educative demand for an American-paradigm offering undergraduate and graduate program in business administration. A special emphasis on the existing cross-cultural commercial environment and the multilingual Swiss context is distinctive to AGSB’s knowledge-based academic structure.
AGSB the American Graduate School of Business is a non-profit, private institution of higher education offering graduate and undergraduate programs. Located in La Tour-de-Peilz, a lakeside community between Vevey and Montreux in French-Speaking Switzerland, AGSB is committed to providing a U.S. based education with a strong international component.
The programs offered by AGSB are based on the philosophy that the world’s future leaders must operate in a multi-cultural environment and be able to adapt to changing social, political, legal and economic conditions. AGSB endeavors to cultivate an understanding of human behavior, cultural sensitivity, an ability to reason critically, a capacity to communicate and a desire for continued intellectual growth.
AGSB aims to provide a basic for competent and responsible leadership in international business, government, and non profit organizations. The language of instruction is English with course taught by dedicated, highly trained, multilingual, and in the MIBA context, directed internship with national and international organizations.
