William Blue College of Hospitality Management was the first hotel management college established in Sydney, and we are proud of our record. Since 1989 we have helped thousands of students become industry professionals. Over the years we have continued to adapt our course and update our facilities to reflect the changing needs of the hospitality industry.

All of our courses have been designed by the hospitality industry, and are taught by the hospitality professionals. The industry is rapidly changing, which is why all our lecturers are chosen for their industry experience in the field they teach-that way you learn what is actually industry best practice.

William Blue is a modern, interactive and inspiring place to study in which you will take classes alongside students from all corners of the globe. The facilities at William Blue include lecture rooms that simulate hotel facilities, computer labs that are equipped with the latest computers and software, Research centre and Library, brand new fully equipped commercial training kitchen, student lounge area and William Blue Dining, our award-winning training restaurant.
All William Blue students will undertake part of their training at William Blue Dining, our student-operated training restaurant, open to the public seating 60 people. This will give you the opportunity to learn in an environment that reflects the very highest in food and beverage service.
Industry Placement
Industry relevance is at the core of everything we do here at William Blue. We think it is so important that the Industry Placement Program is a compulsory part of every course. No one gets the practical experience they need by sitting in a classroom all day, so as part of the Industry Placement as part of your course. Our Careers Adviser will help you to get paid part-time work and paid Industry Placement. We will also help you with personal presentation skills, resume preparation and interview skills.
Affordable Study
Eligible William Blue students have access to the Australian Government’s FEE-HELP and VET FEE-HELP loan schemes. Higher Education Bachelor Degree students have access to FEE-HELP assistance, while the vocational Advanced Diploma students have access to VET FEE-HELP government assistance. These loan schemes can help you in paying for all, or part of, your tuition fees.
Higher Education Pathways
Turn your Advanced Diploma into a Bachelor Degree in just one year. Combine your Vocational Advanced Diploma with a Higher Education Bachelor Degree for a powerful mix of practical skills and business management theory; an attractive package to potential employers.
Online Learning
Flexible and Online Learning (FOL) is available to William Blue students, allowing them the flexibility of completing some subject around their schedules. Advanced Diplomas have blended learning delivery of on campus and online.
Competency Based Assessment
All vocational education and training (VET) courses at William Blue College of Hospitality use competency based assessments to determine whether a student has met the unit of competency requirement of each subject. Assessment decisions involve the evaluation of sufficient evidence to enable a judgment to be made on the student’s competence. Students must achieve satisfactory performance in all mandatory assessments in order to be deemed competent
